From Sonairte
Get up. Not too early though. And get down to the Saturday farmer's market at Sonairte. Fresh food, grown locally, at competative prices. Sonairte's Local Food Market is set for the 25th September from 12 to 4pm (for the late risers!). Lots of fresh and baked goodies will be available from local growers and producers. The cafe will also be open with a guest vegan chef and the shop, gardens and nature trail will be open for viewing.
Hope to see you all there. The farmer's market if successful will be a place where local growers and food producers can sell directly to the public. By cutting out the middle man it is hoped that this market will be competative with high street and provide consumers (that's you) with an opportunity to buy the finest quality local produce at reasonable prices. The market will be limited initially to local grower's and local food producers. If you like the idea then get down and support it. Watch this space.
